Tree felling

Gradual and directional tree felling

We carry out risky felling of dangerous trees in urban areas, near buildings, above structures, but also in forests, cemeteries, and near power lines.

When felling trees, we place emphasis on maximum safety for all workers involved and protection of surrounding property. Insurance against damage and a professional approach are a matter of course.

We fell trees by gradually cutting off individual parts of the tree and transporting them safely to the ground. We use modern rope techniques and professional arborist equipment for our work.

Our activities also include assessing the safety of the tree, analyzing its statics and health. We take into account the risks of tree growth and possible threats to the surrounding area, which allows us to recommend the appropriate procedure for its removal or possible treatment.

Recommendations and restrictions for safe tree felling in the Czech Republic

When is felling permitted?

The recommended time for felling trees is during dormancy, i.e. from November 1 to March 31. During this period, trees are dormant, birds do not nest in them, and most felling permits apply to this period.

Felling without a permit

The following may be felled without a permit:

  • Trees with a trunk circumference of less than 80 cm (measured at a height of 130 cm) on your own property.
  • Fruit trees growing in gardens or built-up areas.
  • Shrubs on an area of up to 40 m².

Felling permit

Felling trees above the above parameters or in special areas (protected areas, memorable trees) must be approved by the relevant municipal authority or the Nature and Landscape Protection Agency. In the case of memorable trees, a dendrological survey is carried out.

Urgent cases

If a tree poses an immediate threat to human health or life or may cause extensive damage to property, you can fell it immediately. However, you must report the felling within 15 days of the intervention.
